Is everyone ready for the Year of the Dog? Taking a look at my own bulldogge, I know I’m ready. 🙂 Best words to describe Mr. Bull is trustworthy and dependable. A man’s best friend. 2018 is going to be a GREAT YEAR.
So, with 3 months shy of gaining 1 full year at one of the top hosting providers in the US, I have come to the conclusion that it is ludicrous to try to attempt to do everything on your own.
One of the main things that I see with clients is that they may be well verse in one area, but the tech side of things gets them tangled up. Or the tech jargon is a breeze for them, but they lack marketing skills.
Success Leaves Clues
The most successful ones take recommendations and partner with others that can help them succeed. The ones that are not as successful still partner with others that can help them succeed, however, they may come off as paranoid and usually avoid ALL recommendations. (for some reason, “their guy” is the guru of gurus. How dare you suggest otherwise)
And of course, the tragic comedies, the unfortunate ones who neither take on partners nor take professional recommendations. In addition, they are not considered “lone wolves”. They have the least bit of clue on where to start, on how to get the ball rolling, and not staying until the ball knocks out all the pins.
No matter which group, I cheer on all of the individual business owners who are trying to build their digital assets and fortune. However, success leaves clues. In 2017, The Broke Investor was trying to soak all the information there was to soak up. I’m at a point if I read anymore, pixels are going to start leaking out.
Trying to build a business, solo, has it’s moments, however, if you are truly searching for growth/expansion, you need an All-Star Team. Without people, nothing will work. Without an audience, there is only a soapbox.
BROKE TIP: Save time by outsourcing your weaknesses, while getting the best value.
Find your All-Star Team
Not sure if anyone noticed the logo “update”. The Broke Investor’s Official Logo was created by a Fellow Fiverr. Now, what if I decided I wanted to create the logo? Well, since starting this WordPress blog back in January 2017, I was “this close” to almost finishing up the prototype. Yup, that’s me. 🙂
The thing is, I had a design concept that I know I could not do. I wouldn’t have even known where to start. At the end of it all, I did NOT want to finish up 2017 without at least having an Official Logo for The Broke Investor.
The best part of the logo process, after submitting in exact detail what I wanted, the designer designed 4 concepts and the concept I described. Although her concept of what she thought I wanted was slightly off, her initial concept is the one I ended up going with.
In reality, I could have stayed up for weeks and I can tell you I wouldn’t have came up with what she came up with. Replacing the ‘K’ in The Broke Investor with a falling person… Genius!
That is the best way to visually describe The Broke Investor’s Journey thus far. It has been a free fall, no safety net required. What a great way to close out 2017: The Year of The Rooster.
Keep growing, keep investing.
